The early years of WIM: 2018- 2021
WIM was founded in 2018 in Florence, inspired by the vision of Tommaso Corsini, Founder and CEO of Corsini.Events. In its early years, WIM focused on a regional format, dedicated primarily to Tuscany – a region synonymous with destination weddings and exclusive events.
The 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 editions, hosted between Villa Corsini, Siena, and digitally during the pandemic, consolidated WIM’s role as a platform for connecting key players in the private events industry. With support from institutions like the City of Florence and the Tuscany Region, WIM became a key regional reference point.
WIM goes Nazional: 2023-2024
In 2023, WIM took a decisive step forward: transitioning from a regional event to a national project. Florence, already the historic capital of the wedding and events sector, hosted editions that attracted buyers, agencies, and venues from across Italy and beyond.
During these editions, WIM welcomed prestigious guests and sponsors, expanding its network with international partnerships. The events’ emphasis on networking, training, and market analysis addressed the growing needs of a dynamic and global industry.
What's next? The future of WIM
The future of WIM is embodied in WIM 25 Connecting Events. The 2025 program includes 12+1 exclusive events, structured as follows:
WIM Teas: Five international meetings in key cities such as Paris, London, Barcelona, New York, and Dubai, dedicated to buyers recruitment and promoting the Italian market.
WIM Talks: Seven conferences in Italy’s most iconic destinations, with a focus on training, networking, and market research.
WIM Event: The grand finale in Florence, where over 300 international professionals will come together from November 19-21, 2025, to celebrate the very best of the private events industry.
With WIM 25, we aim to continue growing, driving innovation, value, and strategic connections on an international scale. Our goal is clear: to consolidate Italy’s role as the world’s premier destination for private events and to foster the sustainable growth of the entire industry.
